Advisers are being urged to engage with clients on ESG investing as it is still "an education process" for their clients, according to speakers at the Sustainable Investment Festival (SIF) 2023.
Grayside (trading as Fairstone) financial adviser Richard Essex, The Path founder David MacDonald, and EQ Investors head of impact investing Damien Lardoux today (14 June) spoke at SIF to outline their thoughts on how advisers can engage clients on net zero. Essex, who is also chair of the Surrey Climate Committee, said that too much net zero will "send clients to sleep" as he called on the adviser community to simplify and improve the information on engagement.
