Most advisers desire a Conservative majority at the upcoming general election, but think a repeat of the existing Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition is the most likely outcome, according to a Professional Adviser poll.
A total of 79% of 96 advisers and principals surveyed earlier this month picked an outright Conservative victory as their preferred outcome, with the Liberal Democrats pipping Labour into second place with 8% of the vote. However, when asked which outcome they most expected, the vast majority plumped for a widely-anticipated hung parliament, with 42% of respondents backing an eventual Conservative-Liberal Democrat government.
