In the run up to April 2006, the UK Government remarked that they didn't feel S615 pension schemes would be relevant beyond A-Day owing to the extended membership eligibility of UK occupational pension schemes.
Section 615 pension schemes are UK-based retirement benefits schemes established under UK trust law for the purpose of providing benefits for employees of UK based companies who are based overseas. Each scheme is established under its own trust similar to the process for a traditional occupational pension plan.
