The number of Barclays Stockbrokers clients holding ETFs in their accounts has more than doubled over the past two years, according to latest figures.
The data, which looks at activity in the two years from September 2008, reveals that the combined value of ETFs held in client accounts has increased more than 330%. Analysis also shows the average client deal size has grown 88% in that time, and the volume of assets invested on a monthly basis has increased by 60% The latest figures follow on from a 108% month on month increase in asset flows in May of this year.
