Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common neurological disorder of young adults, usually being diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40. The destruction of nerves causes loss of functional ability, the source of which is not fully understood and there is no cure. MS is a disease of the central nervous system (the brain and the spinal cord).
