Long term care is not something that many people prepare for in advance and people tend to be unaware of the options available to them. What do you see as the key options available to someone who may be in need of care (either in the home or in residential care) but has made no prior provision?'

Finding and paying for long term care is generally not a hot topic of conversation and tends to be one of those life-events which, until it happens, may seem fairly irrelevant. However, the reality is that every day more than 350 people go into care – and the number of people in residential care is set to increase by 10% over the next 10 years. It is an obvious consequence of an ageing population. The number of over 75s in the UK is predicted to grow by over 70% in the next 20 years and centenarians are the UK’s fastest growing age group.
