Less than 40% of IFAs would recommend investment trusts - PIMS survey

Six out of ten IFAs would NOT recommend investment trusts to consumers, according to a PIMS survey.

Although research by the financial services forum only questioned 96 participants, results suggests 61% of advisers would not recommend ITs alongside other OEIC and unit trust investments. This compares with a recent survey by Incisive Research – part of IFAonline’s parent group, Incisive Media – which suggests fewer than one-quarter of IFAs questioned (120 of 514) intend to recommend investment trusts in the future.
