Crosby delays mortgage review

The Crosby review of the UK's mortgage finance markets will be delayed, the Treasury has announced.

The review for the Government was due this month, but will not be published until late October. Sir James Crosby reportedly wishes to take account of recent developments in financial markets before making his recommendations to the Government. The Treasury hoped Crosby may find a solution to money market difficulties, which have plagued the UK mortgage market since the onset of the credit crunch.
