Aviva is introducing a money-back guarantee for new with-profits customers.
Customers who remain invested in the fund for at least five years will get back at least as much money as they put in, even if the fund is subject to a market value reduction (MVR) at the time. Aviva says research suggests consumers want guarantees on their investments, and has decided to offer the facility to new investors. The guarantee costs an additional 0.7% per year for the first five years, and assures investors will receive at least the money they invested back.
