HSBC launches FTSE 250 ETF

HSBC is to launch the latest addition to its ETF range tomorrow, offering exposure to the FTSE 250.

Initially listed on the London Stock Exchange, it will physically replicate the index by mirroring its performance as far as possible through ownership of the index's underlying shares. The ETF has a total expense ratio of 0.35% and is the latest in a range of similar products from HSBC providing exposure to the FTSE 100, Euro Stoxx 50, Cac 40 and MSCI Japan indices. "The mid-cap segment of the UK market includes some of the fastest growing listed firms, some of which will be future FTSE 100 constituents," HSBC head of ETFs Farley Thomas says.
