Source enters Swiss market with ETC platform

Source, the specialist provider of exchange-traded products, has listed its inaugural range of 15 exchange-traded commodities (ETCs) on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

The initial listing comprises 14 T-ETCs, which are securities backed by Treasury bills, that track the S&P GSCI total return commodity indices. The range also includes one physical gold P-ETC, a physically-backed security tracking the gold spot price, with gold bullion held in JP Morgan Chase Bank's vaults in London. Source CEO Ted Hood says the launch provides domestic investors with access to locally listed products, with the ability to trade on exchange in US dollars.
