AIFA criticises RDR pressure groups

AIFA director general Stephen Gay has criticised RDR pressure groups and skeptics while defending the role of trade associations in fighting regulation.

Delivering a key note address at the Tenet Conference in Ascot today, Gay insisted his organisation had been working hard behind the scenes to lobby for changes to proposals.   He said: “A pressure group can be very fierce about the short-term objectives without needing to consider the long term consequences. “Shouting about things can feel great but its very easy to burn bridges as a consequence.
