iShares has listed its first ETFs tracking the stocks of companies involved in producing commodities.
The London listed funds track the S&P Commodity Producers Oil and Gas Index, S&P Commodity Producers Gold Index and S&P Commodity Producers Agribusiness Index. "The key message is that this is a different approach to commodity investing," says Axel Lomholt, head of ETF products, iShares EMEA. "With most products out there you buy exposure to the underlying commodity itself, so if you buy a gold product you get exposure to gold.
