Skandia's confidence barometer reveals that international advisers'confidence in the global economy has increased for the third quarter in a row taking the rise in confidence up to six out of 10 - up from 5.8 at the end of last year.
Advisers based in the UAE are shown to be the most confident on the economic outlook as Skandia reports a score of 7.1 - a significant increase on the level reported in the last quarter of 2012 which only reached a mark of six. Interestingly, and despite the generally positive outlook shared overall, the barometer shows that Singapore is the only region where advisers report a decrease in confidence towards the global economy - the last quarter of 2012 scored a six whereas today’s is just 5.7.
