The latest biannual Sanlam Income Study has seen four funds drop out of the prestigious White List, while Newton's £1.7bn UK Income fund has dropped into the Black List.
The £1.1bn Schroder Income Maximiser, £827m Threadneedle UK Equity Alpha Income, £404m Franklin UK Equity Income and £358m RBS Equity Income funds exited the White List in the latest rebalance. Commenting on the Newton fund's fall into the Black List, a spokesperson from the firm said: "Similar to other Newton portfolios, the Newton UK Income Fund is positioned for a more deflationary, low-growth and low bond yield environment and it takes significant positions in portfolios in order to produce long-term out performance.
