UK Prime Minister Theresa May has urged Brexit negotiators to find an "imaginative and creative" solution to the country's future relationship with the EU, dismissing both the so-called Canada and Norway models, which sent the pound lower against the dollar and euro.
May said the UK's future relationship with the bloc should be unique and unlike the precedents set by other countries, and that both sides shared responsibilities for the success of that relationship. She said: "It is in all of our interest for the negotiations to succeed, and we must be imaginative and creative about the way we achieve this new partnership."
