Active Wealth UK director Darren Reynolds and Celtic Wealth Management managing director Clive Howells failed to turn up to the Work and Pensions Committee hearing on British steelworkers' pensions this morning.
On Wednesday morning, people close to the closure of the British Steel Pension Scheme (BSPS) gathered in Westminster to give evidence on to MPs on transfers out of the occupational pension scheme. Both adviser Reynolds and Howells, who manages an unregulated introducer firm, were asked to appear before MPs at the session but failed to show up to tell their side of the story. Reynolds has been accused to giving poor advice to steelworkers and has since voluntarily suspended undertaking defined benefit (DB) transfers following a visit from the FCA.
