Hargreaves Lansdown CEO apologises to clients stuck in Woodford fund

First public comment since incident

Hargreaves Lansdown chief executive Chris Hill has issued an official apology to investors locked in the suspended Woodford Equity Income fund.

The platform has been a staunch supporter of Neil Woodford's fund since launch and has kept it on its Wealth 50 list of recommended funds up until the fund was frozen. However, the recent events have forced the fund supermarket to apologise to the tens of thousands of its customers affected by the suspension of the vehicle.
