Prior to joining the BusinessGreen in March 2020, Cecilia reported on politics, clean energy, environment and mining for publications in Canada and the UK, including Canada's National Observer, Ricochet Media, Mining Magazine and CIM Magazine. She has scripted and researched podcasts for Harper’s Bazaar and The Globe and Mail, and worked for several years as a books publicist.

She studied journalism at Concordia University in Montreal and English at the University of Bristol.
