PruProtect unveils fantasy football winner

Matthew Wood of Genesis Wealth Management has been revealed as first prize winner of the PruProtect World Cup Fantasy football competition.

Wood beat out more than 700 rivals to the title as he scored 33,000 points along the way. And the IFA owes all of his success to the performance of England's nemesis, Germany, after he invested his entire virtual £100,000 portfolio on the team. The side did not let him down, ousting England in a controversial 4-1 victory on the way to the semi finals where they were beaten 1-0 by eventual winners Spain. They rebounded, however, to claim third place, defeating Uruguay 3-2 in the third place decider. Each participant was given £100,000 of virtual money to invest in one or more tea...
