The Cautious Managed sector is home to a wide variety of funds often viewed by investors and advisers as being suitable for risk-averse investors. In fact, the sector is not homogenous and there are a huge variety of managed funds to choose from in this sector that are diverse in their approach and the amount of risk the mangers of them are willing to take on. A Morningstar Direct search shows 170 funds sitting within this peer category. At the current time, the IMA guidelines for the sector show funds have a maximum equity exposure restricted to 60% of the fund and at least 30% in fixed...
