Nationwide Nationwide has unveiled plans to launch a new type of special share with a potential starting yield in the range of 9.5 per cent to 11.5 per cent. The Daily Mail reports that this potential yield is more than five times the current average rate of an easy access savings account. The shares are being marketed to institutional and wealthy investors, with a minimum deal size of £25,000.
