The government intends to make life expectancy (or more candidly how long you have got left) a key point of its retirement guidance-for-all policy. Pensions minister Steve Webb said as people are "living a lot longer" it is essential they have the most up-to-date information. He said people often underestimate how long they are going to live and there is a danger savings will run out before they do.
