Late last year, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published a thematic review on the suitability of investment portfolios. Within the published paper are examples of good and poor practice, which all firms can consider and against which they can benchmark themselves. I'd recommend that all firms review these good and poor practices, as they provide a helpful insight into regulatory expectations when providing advice on investments and making portfolio recommendations.
