"Do you think he might be dangerous?" whispered the chairman of the improbably-sized investment company Prandeamus Asset Management nervously as we listened to the keynote speaker at Intelliflo's London conference this week.

"I don't think he's armed, if that's what you mean," I said equally ill at ease. "But he does look like he might explode if he hears another cough from the audience." "You'd think, as a professor, he might be used to a few coughs and splutters from the lecture hall," mused the chairman. "Then again, maybe he's just had his fill of hacking over the years and it now sets him on edge."
