Baillie Gifford may not be every adviser's instinctive first thought as a multi-asset fund manager yet it can make some claim to be among the pioneers. Even setting aside the firm's considerable track record running big-name generalist investment trusts, the £3.5bn Baillie Gifford Managed fund can point to a history of more than 30 years and remains among the more successful examples of multi-asset investing.
