Franklin Templeton is set to launch four Sicav funds within its Luxembourg-registered Franklin Templeton Investment Funds (FTIF) range.
The range is expected to launch on 14 October and the company is seeking FSA approval to distribute the funds in the UK. All funds will have a Sterling-priced distributor status share class, according to Jamie Hammond, senior director, global advisory services at Franklin Templeton. The Templeton Asian Smaller Companies fund will primarily invest in equity securities of companies with a market capitalisation of less than US$2 billion in Asia ex-Japan, or in companies that derive a significant proportion of their revenues or profits from Asian economies, according to Franklin Templeton. ...
