Impax and BNP Paribas launch green fund in Australia

Impax Asset Management has linked up with BNP Paribas Investment Partners to launch the Impax Environmental Markets Trust (IEM Trust) to the Australian market.

The fund is based on Impax's flagship investment trust, Impax Environmental Markets. Impax claims the IEM Trust is the only fund available in Australia which focuses solely on the environmental sector. It only invests in companies which have at least 50% of their revenues, profits or capital employed, derived from or invested in three environmental sub sectors. These are alternative energy and energy efficiency, water treatment and pollution control plus waste technologies and resource management.
