Assureweb strikes up another data connection

Portal Assureweb has announced its latest major deal to bring front and back-end services closer together, which involves data and research provider Defaqto.

Citing a ‘strategic partnership’ to boost the quotes capability of Defaqto’s Aeguos Engage search engine service, the overall goal is to offer a one-stop process for financial advisers, which combines back and front office functions including research, quotes and new business applications. Given common adviser complaints about having to re-key client data, the two businesses suggest their offering will form part of the industry’s general response to what is seen as a legacy split between frond and back office functions.
