The Treasury Committee has requested stakeholders to provide written evidence for its enquiry into offshore financial centres (OFC).
Evidence should be submitted in Word or rich text format to [email protected] by noon on Thursday 19 June. The Committee would like to see written evidence on a number of issues relating to OFCs. Issues include why OFCs are important to the worldwide financial market and whether their use threatens financial stability. The Committee also wishes to find out if OFCs are sufficiently transparent to UK regulators and tax authorities. It wants to know if British Overseas Territories Crown Dependencies have as good a reputation as OFCs and whether they impact on UK tax revenues. Discuss...
