Halifax has launched a new website which aims to give first time buyers information and advice about getting onto the housing ladder.

The lender says, www.buyingyourfirsthome.co.uk will aim to provide first time buyers with a straightforward and impartial guide through the process of searching for, buying and moving into their first home. It says to ensure the site remains impartial it will be independent of the main Halifax retail banking website. The website is designed as a virtual high street through which first time buyers can navigate their way through the home-buying process stopping en-route for guidance at a range of virtual product and service providers key to the homemoving process.
