Scottish property market begins to slow

The latest Lloyds TSB Scotland House Price Monitor has found that house price growth is beginning to slow north of the border.

The Lloyds TSB research found that the average house price in Scotland had risen by 1.7% in the last quarter, down from 6.7% in the first quarter of 2007. Prior to this, Scottish house prices had shown some of the strongest growth in the UK. On an annual basis, average house prices in Scotland have risen by 13.2% to £162,779 and the average price has risen for 78 consecutive months.
