Stonehaven cuts interest rates

Stonehaven has cut interest rates for the second time in as many months on its equity release products for the under 70s.

Rates start from 5.92% for Stonehaven Lump Sum Lite, while its build your own and interest only range starts from 6.08%. Stonehaven says it will also simplify its interest only pricing to allow clients to pay interest each month to avoid roll-up. Chief executive Jayne Almond, says: “Retirees are looking to squeeze value from every last penny and by offering the lowest interest rates in the market Stonehaven is ensuring that equity release remains a cost effective option for those looking to use their homes to fund their retirement.” If you would like to comment on this story, contact: J...
