SIML adds second Schroder fund to MM Japan

Skandia Investment Management Ltd (SIML) has added Schroders' Japan Alpha Plus fund to its MultiManager Japanese Equity Blend fund.

The £3.2m purchase means the fund makes up 12% of the £28m multi-manager portfolio and will sit next to Schroder Tokyo. It replaces the JPMorgan Asset Management Institutional Japan although this fund will remain in the portfolio via a segregated mandate. The Schroder Japan Alpha Plus fund is managed by Nathan Gibbs who also manages the Japanese element of SIML’s Global Best Ideas fund. His colleague Andrew Rose runs the Tokyo fund.
