The Chancellor has made two new appointments to the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
Tim Besley, professor of economics and political science at the London School of Economics (LSE) will join the MPC in September while Andrew Sentance chief economist and head of environmental affairs at British Airways will join the committee in October.
