Wilkinson to leave Abbey for new venture

Sue Wilkinson has resigned her post at Abbey for Intermediaries and is leaving at the end of the month to set up her own consultancy firm.

Having first joined Pegasus – before the protection brand was rolled into Abbey in 2002 – Wilkinson has been a well-known figure in the protection sector for many years, but she resigned her position as head of life and health propositions at Abbey at the end of last year, and is currently working her notice to the end of March. Her decision to leave the life insurance firm will be a major departure into new territory as Wilkinson’s new firm has a “two-pronged approach” - in the first instance, to advise financial services firms on their marketing and PR, as well as offering a form of occu...
