Threadnedle unveils Global Equity Income fund

THREADNEEDLE is set to expand its equity income proposition after unveiling a new Global Equity Income fund targeting a yield of 4pc.

The new offering, managed by Steve Thornber, will hold between 75 and 95 stocks and will use an unconstrained mandate to invest in companies across the globe. Thornber will receive input from the UK Equities team including Leigh Harrison, head of UK equities, while running the fund, and the manager of the Threadneedle Global Select fund Jeremy Podger will act as his deputy.
