Webb strives to revive Unicorn

UNICORN Asset Management founder and CEO Peter Webb is fighting to revive his company's fortunes with two UK retail launches planned for early next year.

Professional Adviser can reveal the group’s expansion plans will include a new IHT portfolio offering for the AIM market and a new AIM based VCT, the group’s third offering in this area. New senior hires within both investment management and sales teams will also be made to support the extended range. The expansion comes following Webb’s return to the helm of the boutique with renewed ambition to move Unicorn “to the next level”. He took a back seat in 2005 as he considered the company’s future, with Unicorn’s performance across the range dropping off significantly as a result. ...
