BARCLAYS Wealth has rolled out its first commodity investment, broadly based on the S&P GSCI index.
Commodity Select is a five-year investment tied to a basket of commodities including energy, agriculture, base and precious metals. Although the basket is linked to the S&P GSCI, it is weighted by Barclays Wealth according to its individual conviction on each component of the asset class. Whilst the S&P GSCI index references sub-indices on agricultural commodities, the basket provides direct exposure to corn, wheat and soybeans. Investors receive 115pc of the performance of the basket with no cap on returns, which are paid gross. Capital will be repaid in full at maturity regardless...
