French's M&G fund handed to deputy

M&G has handed control of Graham French's £456m International Growth fund to the deputy manager Greg Aldridge.

The change over is part of an ongoing move within M&G to nurture in-house talent. Aldridge, who has worked alongside French for two years, will now have the final say on the direction the fund takes. The company said Aldridge had been broadening the portfolio since joining the Global Equities team, and would continue to do so going forward. “Graham is an expert on primary and secondary industries but since becoming deputy, Greg’s growing influence has been to broaden the focus of the fund to include companies across a wide range of sectors,” said Simon Anderson, director of corporate ...
