THE UK Social Investment forum (UKSIF) will run the first ever 'National Ethical Investment Week' between 18-24 May, 2008, with the aim of raising awareness of green and ethical investment options.
The project seeks to build on the rising demand for green and ethical investments that has seen a near six-fold increase in the volume of money going into ethical funds, over the last year. It is the first time that the financial services industry has come together under the umbrella of UKSIF to raise consumer awareness of green and ethical investments. UKSIF will provide ideas and support, alongside a promotional and PR campaign to assist advisers in getting the message across to consumers.
