MULTI-MANAGER firm Margetts has sold the Fidelity European fund from its International Strategy offering and replaced it with Schroder European Alpha Plus.
Fund manager Matt Jealous cited confidence in Leon Howard-Spink, the manager of the Schroder product, as the reason for the switch, but also said the recent performance of the Fidelity fund had influenced his decision. Despite the change, Jealous said Margetts had not altered its European weighting. The Schroder European Alpha Plus fund is first quartile over one month, one year and three years in the IMA Europe ex-UK sector (according to Lipper as of January 24).
