FIDELITY is to complete the revamp of its multi-manager team with four new recruits, including Ayesha Akbar who will join in June as portfolio manager for Asian and emerging markets.
Akbar will join from Barclays Wealth, where she was charged with research and selection for Asia and emerging markets. Prior to that, she worked in the multi-manager team at Barclays Private Clients. The investment team, which is headed by Geraldine Stewart, will be bolstered by three new business school graduates joining as researchers. Fidelity said it expects its new-look 16-strong team to be in place by the end of August. Stewart is in charge of UK equities, with Eugene Philalithis looking after fixed income.
