FUND managers have rated Brazil as an attractive place to invest because of its solid fundamentals and positive prospects.
All Baillie Gifford’s global investment trusts have some holdings in Brazilian companies or bonds. Mark Urquhart, manager of Edinburgh Worldwide investment trust, said that Brazil rates highly for finding companies which are shareholder-orientated and its companies are very well run. Since 2002, Brazilian inflation has decreased and the stock market has risen steadily.
