Veritas to close $722m Asian fund

VERITAS Asset Management is to soft close its $722m Asian fund, run by Ezra Sun and his team.

The directors intend to soft close the fund at $800m, after which only existing investors will be able to invest additional monies. John Campbell, marketing and sales director at Veritas, explained: “It has always been the directors’ intention to soft close the fund in the interests of protecting the potential performance for existing shareholders. “In the three years since the fund’s inception on October 18, 2004, it has outperformed the index by 22pc.
