INVESTMENTS in UK green and ethical retail funds had risen to a record £8.9bn by the end of last year, according to Ethical Investment Research Services (EIRIS).
The figures compare with those of ten years earlier, when less than £1.5bn was invested ethically. EIRIS also reported the number of ethical funds as having risen sharply over the same period, from just two dozen a decade ago, to almost 100 now.
