Asia best placed for growth - S&P annual review

Asia has the highest growth potential of all the global regions despite the its recent massive market correction, according to Standard and Poor's.

Its annual review of Asia equity funds shows the Asian market correction of 65.3% is even deeper than that of late 1997 and early 1998, when the market index dropped 51.4%. However, S&P says because of continuing growth opportunities, such as those in infrastructure plans in China, the region should be well-placed to weather the economic storm.
