SCHRODERS hopes to have its new Climate Change fund available through at least six platforms by the time the portfolio starts trading in October.
The fund is be managed by Simon Webber and Matt Franklin, supported by a dedicated team of four global specialists and two dedicated climate change experts, Rick Stathers and Karen Shaw. Webber and Franklin have identified a universe of over 500 companies which they believe can be ‘beneficiaries of the climate change debate.’ Initial investments will include companies such as Sharp electronics which has market leading technology for reducing energy emissions from LCD lighting and Honda, which is leading the way in sustainable transport.
