UK best ideas launch from Collins Stewart

COLLINS Stewart is launching a UK best ideas OEIC which will target businesses with an identifiable catalyst for a re-rating.

Called the Collins Stewart UK Catalyst fund, the open ended UCITS III, Dublin-authorised OEIC will have a portfolio of 25-50 holdings. Its objective is to outperform the UK market by actively managing a focused portfolio of high conviction UK stocks. The fund will be style and market cap agnostic but will have exposure to stocks the team believes offer considerable upside through the action of an identified catalyst, according to investment manager Sean O'Flanagan. He said: "We will adopt a pragmatic approach with a focus on primary rather than secondary (broker) driven research. ...
