NU widens fund of funds range to unfettered

Norwich Union is improving its range of funds of funds by switching to an unfettered style of investing.

What this essentially means from Monday October 11th is all investment options will widen from fettered funds, or those managed by only by one company, to open the investment possibilities to unfettered funds or those of other investment groups. NU’s change means the fund of funds manager will now be able to pick investments from a selection of more than 1,900 funds, whereas they could previously only invest only in a selection of around 80 funds available through NU’s portfolio investment bond.
